Other Ministries of St. Peter's
St. Peter's has an active unit of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America,
which offers opportunities for witness, service, and fellowship. Our
local unit meets the first Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. Activities
and ministries include:
- Piecing and tacking quilts, gathering items for school and health kits, layettes and soap for Lutheran World Relief.
- Organizing receptions for fellowship at St. Peter's for new members, confirmands and graduates.
- Attending events of Southwestern Texas Synodical Women's Organization, including spring gatherings, Equipping Women Events, Victoria Conference events, and the annual convention.

WOMEN OF THE ELCA GATHERING – More than 125 women attended the 2009 Victoria Conference Spring Gathering for Women of the ELCA on March 7 at St. Peter’s.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH from St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St. John's Lutheran Church in Goliad, and St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Weesatche participate in a getting-ready session for the 2009 ELCA Youth Gathering, which will be held July 22-26 in New Orleans.
Other St. Peter's ministries include the Altar Guild, choir, and the
youth group. Activities for youth are planned throughout the year.
Youth are encouraged to attend junior and senior high youth gatherings
and to experience church camp in the summer. Younger members frequently
serve as worship leaders, including lectors, crucifers, ushers,
acolytes, and musicians.
