Our staff
Minister: John Dellis, an associate in ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, came to St. Peter's as an interim minister in January of 2002. In the spring of 2003, the congregation issued him a Letter of Call, with authorization for sacramental ministry provided by the Southwestern Texas Synod. He previously served as an interim minister at MacArthur Park Lutheran Church in San Antonio and on the staff of Texas Lutheran University in Seguin and St. Luke's Lutheran Hospital in San Antonio. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree in business journalism from Baylor University and a master of theological studies degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He serves as a trustee of Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest. Previously, he served a six-year term on the board of the Division for Ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In addition to his duties at St. Peter's, he edits The Vista, the newspaper of the Southwestern Texas Synod.
Dorothy Bowman has been an active member of St. Peter's since 1980 and serves as both organist and choir director. She and her husband, David, are parents to three grown children and grandparents to eight lively grandchildren. She is a retired nurse.
Secretary: Bulletins for worship services, newsletters, and documents for various congregational ministries are some of the responsibilities of St. Peter's secretary, Kathy Albrecht. Kathy joined St. Peter's in 1985. She and her husband, Ray, have two adult daughters and three grandchildren.
Custodian: Kaid Brand serves as custodian of St. Peter's, helping to keep the church building clean and inviting for all. He has been a member of St. Peter's since 1994 and is a senior at Goliad High School.
