Youth

Youth and children are a vital part of the ministry of St. Peter’s, and activities and ministries for them are planned throughout the year. Youth are encouraged to participate in junior high and senior high youth gatherings, the ELCA Youth Gathering for high school youth, and to experience church camp in the summer.

St. Peter’s recently amended its constitution to expand the membership of the church council to include a member who has not reached the age of 18 at the time of election.

Younger members frequently and regularly serve as worship leaders, including lectors, crucifers, communion assistants, ushers, acolytes, and musicians.
